2004 Black Tobiano Gypsy Stallion

Legend Boy X Splash CR

(GHRA # A00000307)

DNA: EE, Tt, PSSM1 - n/P1

Ziggy Competed in the 2012 Gypsy Horse World Show and WON!

We are so proud of our boy!  We left the show with 5th place in Section A Senior Stallions (out of 6), 3rd place in Broken Color Stallions/Geldings (out of 6), 3rd place in Working Hunter (out of 8), and 1st place in Trail Riding!!! (the largest performance class of the show!)  We also got Reserve Horse in Open English Pleasure WTC and Open Western Pleasure WTL.

Ziggy is our traditional Gypsy stallion. He is "bred in the blue" and you will have a hard time finding better bloodlines in a stallion. Ziggy is sired by the one and only "Legend Boy" (RIP) (by "The Old Black Horse," by "The Coal Horse": out of "The Mushy Mare"), and is out of the good mare "Splash CR" (by "The Producer," by "Road Sweeper": out of the Vines bred mare called "The Ace Mare"). Ziggy stands 14 hands and has outstanding conformation, wonderful movement, awesome disposition, and nice silky feather. He has a great topline with an archy neck trying into a sloping shoulder, short back, and well muscled haunches. Ziggy has one of the most attractive heads I have seen on any breed of horse. He has nice action, and he often paces when he walks, which is a rare trait in the breed! Ziggy has a really pretty, silky mane and an incredibly thick tail. Ziggy's feather is the wonderfully silky kind that is so sought after, and he has plenty of it too. Under all that feather are Ziggy's amazing hooves. You won't find better feet on a horse. And true to the gypsy breed, Ziggy has a wonderful disposition.

We are currently accepting bookings for the 2019 breeding season. Limited number of outside mares accepted, so don't wait.

Ziggy's 2019 stud fee will be $1000 for gypsy mares, and $750 for all other breeds. A $250 booking fee is included in the stud fee. We will be able to offer live cover, on farm A.I., or shipped semen (a $250 collection and shipping fee will apply). Mare care will be $7/day dry and $10/day wet. LFG.  Ziggy is an easy breeder and usually gets mares in foal on the first breeding.

*****Only 5 gypsy mares, 2 non gypsy mares will be accepted in 2019! Book early to assure yourself a spot*****

*****Multiple Mare Discount!*****

Early Booking Discount: Book by March 1st, 2019 to recieve 10% off his 2019 stud fees!!!

~Craig Cameron's Extreme Cowboy Race~

In 2008, Ziggy competed in Craig Cameron's Extreme Cowboy Race!  At the time, Ziggy was the first Gypsy horse to compete in one of these races, and still may be the only one!  Ziggy was only 4 at the time and had only have about 3 months of training to prepare for the race.  Here are some pictures taken by my friend (and professional photojournalist) Trine Bohnsdalen.
